    Default Evacuation Procedure

I'm going to laminate my evacuation procedure to go on my notice board [when I get one]. Do I also need to draw a plan of the downstairs showing the emergency exits?

Some childminders do, but to be honest it's more important that you practice the whole fire drill regularly, my children are all around 3/4 and a plan of my house means less than the reinforcement of regular practice. It really depends on the ages you mind

Hmm that's what I thought. I haven't got any mindees yet so ages not known. I may just whizz one up in case I get any older children who can read and understand. Thanks Allie.

Mine shows the escape routes as it's for parents / Ofsted inspectors as well.

Also smoke detectors, Co2 detectors and fire blanket

I didn't think of parents and Ofsted, as usual good ideas Sarah
