school closures????

do you have the children during the school day if their schools closed???? if they are before and after school contracts???

i do i class it as normal school holidays
we haven't got any closures round here YET but its not going to be fun getting to the schools my road is awful

Everything is shut here. My kids are off( 14 and 12) all mindees called in they are off too. Parents are teachers so no one is going anywhere today in Sussex.

I would have them if needed.

Yep, had a call this morning from mindees mom that I pick up on the way to school. She asked if I could have mindee and she will drop her off of course

I've got one parent who I was expecting to call to ask me to pick up child so I got in first and text to say if she wants to drop him off fine but i'm only driving in emergency.

schools shut, mindees cancelled cos parents cant get in to work lots and lots of snow Breezy very happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I texted parents at 6.45 this morning to say I am not going to do the school run, but will have the kids here if they want.

No way was I going to drive in a foot of snow. They both called back, one said that's fine, wouldn't want you to have the responsibility of having the kids in the car. The other one after telling her she wouldn't be able to get to me, said if she thinks she can get into work, can she bring her daughter to her. I told her yes, but she won't be able to get here. Oh OK, was the reply!!!

Some parents, they don't listen do they?

My kids schools are closed.

My mindees school was turning them away at the gate unless the parents needed to go to work. So as he is a mindee whose Mum has not paid me yet I sent him in!

I had 5 children due to me today and all cancelled (all parents are teachers) so bit of a result.
I think the schools will be open tomorrow but if not, I'm going to have to say no to one parent (whose parent isn't a teacher) because I do another job during the day and he's only contracted for after school! Won't go down well but I'm sure they will be open tomorrow.
