Pancakes!

Our Childminding Group have different actvities each Monday morning and its my turn on the Monday before Shrove Tuesday. Can anyone think of a fun activity for the children to do? The majority of the children are aged 2-3 years. We will have pancakes and fruit for snack but I cant think of anything other than colouring in cardboard pancakes. I know someone out there will have a fab idea for me!

Messy play can be difficult as we are in a room belonging to the Church. We are not even allowed to take prams in in case mud gets on the carpet! A member of the church comes in and checks there is no mess once we have gone and it has been known for us to get told off!! What is the collective name for a group of petrified Childminders?

buy a pack of ready made pancakes and let the children try and toss them?

You could sing the 'pop a little pancake in to the pan' song they love that.

How about giving them all one of those little scotch pancakes to decorate with jam?? then can eat them for snack! Or maybe a bit messy for the scary church hall brigade
