I AM packing childminding in.

I have decied to pack childminding in because i am losing my mindes. One family is moving away & the other one the mum has lost her job

. That will leave me with no one to mind. I will have to give it up anyway as i am moving to Turkey & i would rather give it up when i havent got any mindes as i wouldnt have to let anyone down. What do i have to do about insurance,tax & ofsted?

Ofsted you just ring and tell them and you have to send your certificate back.

Not sure about insurance i never told mine because it had just run out anyway.

I Just rang hmrc and told them i was no longer self employed and they told me that when i get the self assesment forms to put my last working day on there.

Don't forget you will still need to keep all your records from minding for 21 years for insurance purposes.

When you are ready to leave, I would just ring everyone and give them a finishing date.

the IR will send you a form to see if you owe any tax.

I have friends who have gone abroad and still pay NI so that if they need to come back their pension and health cover is safe. It's worth looking into carefully.

Probably the best thing to do it now mindees have left.

Not sure what i am gonna do for a job but i wouldnt mind working in a dog kennels or a cattery. Hoping to move as soon as pos or at the end of the year.

Sorry to hear you are leaving but good luck with the sunshine in Turkey.

You will still need to keep you books and submit a tax return, return your certificate to Ofsted and inform your insurance company of finishing date and you may get a refund.

Good luck in Turkey, maybe you could set up a home for all the stray cats. I thought Turkish people hated cats or maybe it was just the people i met in Fethiye.
Apart from that it's a lovely climate and so laid back

Sorry to hear you are giving up but good luck in Turkey. My sister married a Turkish man 4 years ago. We went over for the wedding my first ever visit and we were so impressed at how friendly every one was.
