    Default First day at school.

My son and my full time mindee both start school on Friday.

I've been getting in a bit of a flap about it, my son is the youngest of 4 and not sure how I'll feel with him going off to school!

I was also concerned about the mindee as I really feel it's a parents job to take them on the first day. I wasn't sure how I was going to handle the both of them.

I was also feeling a bit sorry for the mindee as I really think his mummy should be with him.

Well.....................PHEWWWWWWWWWWW she has booked the day off to be with him.

Means we can both be with our youngest sons and escort them to school. Also means I can come home alone and have a good old blub.

Glad your mindee's Mum is taking her son to school on the first day, it means you can concentrate on your son.

Hope it's not too bad for you.

Ahh I'm knowing exactly how you feel. My eldest son starts on Thurs and i'm so nervous!! Also he has been so excited since Jan when he found out what school he was going to but this last week he keeps saying he has changed his mind. I dont want to make him unhappy!
We are both used to him being gone all day as since easter he went to nursery all day but this is a new school with uniform etc. They all seem so young at 4!

Good luck for first days to your son and mindee ( and the mums of course!)

Oh and pop some tissues in your handbag! x

My son and full time mindee both start school on wednesday. I took my son shopping today to buy things in for his lunch box. He's excited about going but i know i'm going to come home and cry! My mindee's mum has taken the day off so she can take her to school on her first day but i've still got a my other full timer, a 2 year old, to look after so i will have to try to control my emotions!

Its hard to see our babies growing up. I'm sure they'll all have a great time and we'll all spend the day worrying about them!

My youngest started last Sept and I really didn't know what to do when I got home . It seemed so strange and she went straight in to full-time 9-3. She was 3 didn't turn 4 till Nov. But she was ready and loved every minute - still does .

Hope everything goes well for you all next week

I sympathise too my dd starts school next monday She has been really up and down about it all and she is still not sure. We have read books and been really enthusiastic about it but she still has days where she doesn't want to go.

Glad you get to give you son your full attention though and hope all goes well
