It involves encouraging children to make dens or tents or other cosy corners where they can interact in small groups, with adults or other children.
I just googled it and came up with lots of useful hits ... it's very much the rage at the moment.
Hope it helps

i love this! i went to see an exhibition in Cardiff! There was a lovely CFS based in the igloo tent from ikea! they put soft cuddly toys inside and small boxes containing natural objects like fir cones.
i tried one in our play house outside. i put down a large blanket and cushions to make it comfy. i put in a basket filled with beanie bears and underneath there were lots of coloured scarves! my mindees aged 2 and 3 loved it! they closed the door and i sat outside listening to them chatting and saying ahhhh when they looked in the basket and found the scarves. then they came out and danced round the garden with the scarves!!
you can make a CFS in the smallest area. try to keep it quite enclosed so the children don't feel like you're watching them closely. add lights - those press ones with batteries in are good or torches.
