Default Child Centred Learning Environment - how would you define it, please

I'd really welcome your input on this, please. I'm needing to create a plan for a child centred learning environment and evaluate it - but I'm rather going round in circles. I'm assuming that a child-centred learning environment is one with a good variety of age-appropriate toys, it's safe and warm if it's indoor, it makes children want to explore further, helps meet all seven developmental areas - but I know I'm missing something! I feel like I'm talking round the topic without hitting the vital bit, so would welcome any thoughts, please :-)

You are really on the right lines...Enabling Environments and Active Learning...so accessible, safe and with plenty of opportunities to explore and become independent while giving you the opportunity to support and guide where necessary

These may be of help too

Thanks Simona - again that's really helpful! I think I'm trying to assimilate and regurgitate too much information too fast too late at night (probably not uncommon in everyone else trying to put together a portfolio after their local authority training course), that's invaluable in reassuing me I'm on the right lines and putting substantially more meat on the bones :-)
