    Default NCMA Food business consultation

This might have already been posted, if so sorry.

But NCMA have sent a letter to the powers that be regarding consultation on childminders registering as food businesses, you can read it here:

Let's hope they get a positive result!

That is interesting - thanks. I hope NCMA get somewhere with this. In our area we have been told that NCMA have been trying to liase with EH in trying to get a pack together specifcally childminders.

I have been trying to get a straight answer out of our EHO that does the rules/pack apply to us on a day that we aren't childminding. What happens if they turn up (to inspect) on a day we aren't working. Having difficulty in getting an answer - surprise surprise.

All areas seem to be different don't they?

Hopefully this will clear it up, lots of that letter make so much sense, surely they can't disagree?

I was told over the phone by my local council that even if you only provide drinks of water we still need to register as a food buisness and that they would come out to do an inspection of your premises.
