    Default Mealtime bad manners!

I've had a 5yo boy for over a year now but he has started to sit at the dinner table with one elbow on it with his hand propped under his chin and the other hand holding a fork. Every night I ask him to use a knife and fork and every night not to sit like it but he says he's tired. He used to have a great appetite but now just picks at his food and takes forever!!! I am cooking everything he likes to eat and have spoken to parents to see what he eats at home and if they've noticed the same but they just say not to worry. I like to cook fresh food for everyone but cannot stand waste and lately there is loads!! Its driving me nuts!! Anyone else have this problem?

I would continue as you are doing but maybe give him slightly less.
The way I look at it is that it would be gone from my cupboard whether it's eaten or goes in the bin.
