    Default New term

How does everyone do their phased entry into reception.

I have 1 LO whose school do their entry over a long period.
Week one -kids stay for 1 hour.
    Week two-stay for 3 hours
Week 3 stay am + lunch
Week 4 stay for lunch plus 1hour
    Week 5 stay til 3
    Week 6 full week.

I have a bit of an issue with the first couple of weeks in that I have several children getting dropped off once I drop off at this school. And it's a 20 min walk away, so by the time I get home it's time to leave to pick up again.

So I guess I need a little help with my plan!

Oh it's a new school for me too as LO did not get into the school of choice.

Our school does this for nursery children but reception children all start on the same day.

It was a pain and by time we had got them to full time it was half term

I really don't like it either! I've got another school to do as well as my own little one to settle in special school.

Maybe you need to tell parent that they need to do picking up and dropping off if it doesn't suit your other children.
