    Default 1st aid kit

My 1st aid kit is coming out of date where do you buy all your replacements from?
Are pound shop and boots etc sterile bandages eye wash etc all suitable or do we need a specialist company?

    Thanks

Yes. Do get from boots etc. check dates and just get what you need. I used my travel one for the first time properly. Boy threw sand in air and went in his face. Used the tiny contact lenses saline to wash his eyes. Was stared at by others st sand put.

As long as you've got what you need in your kit, it doesn't matter where it came from!
Wherever you can find your replacements is fine

Mine is a total mix of stuff from boots, poundland and tesco. I get what I need in the cheapest place I can find it. I don't think ofsted care as long as you have what you need and its in date!

It's the sterile stuff you've got to watch, it'll say on the packaging when they're no longer suitable for use.
I don't get rid of mine tho, they go into the role play area

Snap! I do the same! We have quite an impressive doctors kit now! And they much prefer the real things to the toy versions of the,. I try to use as many real things as I can now rather than toys!

Asda is good for the little wipes, and dressing pads. That's the cheapest place I have found first aid wipes they are only 70p for 10.

Where do you get the saline pods from? I looked for contact lens rather than first aid but could only find bigger bottles rather than pods.

Also does anyone have big plasters eg 5cm x 5cm or bigger for big grazes? Looking for somewhere to buy these. My daughter fell off her bike last week, didn't have a plaster big enough so used a dressing pad and tape but it kept falling off.

I found big plasters and big non adherent pads in both Boots and Superdrug. Doesn't take much of a graze for the regular size plasters to be too small.
