    Default Need ratio advice again

8 was under the impression we can decide whether we have a variation to our numbers but following the rules, informing parents and risk assessing wtc! I understand all that but today another childminder said even though we decide to varie out ratios we have to inform ofsted every time we go over numbers?

No, Ofsted will simply refer you back to the EYFS wording. This childminder is incorrect so go and inform them!

Between September and December ish if you rang and said you wanted to go over numbers and risked assessed etc but not had new certificate, when you rang ofsted they made a note on your file, but now they just refer you back to the wording on new certificate and eyfs. Maybe that is what has confused the other minder.
