    Default Business name

I have been trying to think of a name for several weeks as I want to set up website and FB page. Finding it really hard!!! Someone said Lilibelle's which is an amalgamation of my daughters names. I love it but not sure if its too girlie?? Honest opinions please!

Your girls have lovely names but not sure it works as a childminding name, does sound quite girlie and doesn't reflect what the business does - how about "Minster Childminding" or not sure what the name of your road is - could you use that as a name - I'm Hector's House Daycare because I have a dog called Hector! Happy pondering

I know what you mean! My mum is making me a 'den' to fit over the kitchen table and is going call it Casa Lilibelle as she lives in Spain and just got me thinking. It's harder than I thought!!

It does sound girlie but because its a mixture of your children's names i think it sounds good and makes sense :-)

I'm not sure how old your children are but have you asked them for ideas? They are usually inventive and can come up with some amazing ideas.

Why does it matter if it sounds girly? If you were called Tracey and called yourself Tracey's tots, that's a girly name and no one would blink an eye.
Just make sure you like it, you could be stuck with it for a long time

I think Lilibelle's is quite good, but if you are a little unsure use it as a starting point as mama2three suggests.

A technique we would use at work would be to 'brainstorm' and write down all the words associated with the business (including all the crazy ones) and a few favourites would appear. Do it in a group, maybe with friends over a cup of coffee, as someone's initial idea will trigger someone else to come up with an expansion on it ~ using a thesaurus too can help. You can then start paring words together and seeing what works well.

MiniKins came about as we had written down 'tiny…small…little…mini, kids…family…kinfolk' etc. etc. and then suddenly, because a previous connection to the printing trade, it just popped into my head that 'minikin' (being an old fashioned printer's term for a very small type size) seemed perfect ~ Looking it up in the dictionary also revealed the definition as 'a small and precious object', what could be better! Quite a convoluted route to a name I grant you but it can be strange how the 'quantum leaps' work out.

How about Lillibelle's tots or Little Belles or using part of your name "Katkins"?

We were in Chamonix a couple of years ago and saw what I think is the greatest childcare name ever: Baby-Cham

...sorry to post it again, but i just love it!
