Mention in the risk assessment how you are keeping the children separate eg in the living room or out at aunts, and put that in parents letter too.
Keep your letter to parents short and to the point along the lines of improving the setting, and assuring them that you have risk assessed and that their children will be kept safe at all times.

Dear ...
I am having work done to increase the space available in my setting. Much of this work will be done over the weekend, but it will mean that for xx days I will have plasterers etc on the premises to complete the work. I have risk assessments in place and have informed Ofsted, and the builders are aware too of safety issues.
xxx (childs name), will be kept safe at all times, by being with me in the living room and at other times out in another setting. At no time will anyone be left alone with xxxx.
Please bear with me while this work is being done.
If you have any worries or concerns, please do talk to me about these.
I hope that helps.
