Children in front seat

There is a time in my school pick up that I need to put one child on a booster in the front seat of the car the child 8 years old do I need permission for this ?

No, as long as they are wearing the correct child restraint then its ok, l would mention it to the parents out of courtesy, they may have views and could cause arguments at home if child says well x lets me sit in the front.
