    Default Sickness insurance

    Does anyone have sickness insurance?

Was ill on Friday and it started me thinking about it. Really don't know how we'd manage if I was ill for an extended period but not sure if sickness insurance is worth the premiums. Only recently started minding after a difficult few years in another profession & no savings to speak of to act as a safety net.

    Anyone looked into this?

i have some but its more of a long term thing. the only way I could afford it was to take a policy that pays out after 6 months - it then pays you all the way back to when your sickness started.

However, for me it was more if I got a serious illness or couldn't work again as it pays until retirement date.
if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got

A friend had insurance for illness - she fell and had to take 3 months off. - lost her business - not covered by insurance as it was an accident

Be careful when reading the small print!! X
