I have been to a forum at my LA this evening and haven given out leaflets.
Although my LA say they are unable to endorse or support individuals or organisations they will, however, post the link to the NCMA, NDNA, PLA and Daycare Trust websites on their Families Information Service Facebook site where they envisage the childcare providers, that have signed up, will be able to update themselves with all of the latest information being distributed by these nationally recognised organisations. I also requested they put these links on their FIS website in the childminder section and they have agreed to do this.

    thats good.

LA's find a way of supporting things they agree with within the parameters of their contracts, my LA is currently struggling with this one as well - but the information is still getting out there.

Be good if they could put a link to the Nursery World article which features the NCMA campaign - but also has a direct link to the petition

My LA - Worcestershire - are fully promoting it, I sent them the LA briefing that I wrote - had several emails from head of Early Years.

Then yesterday she sent me the draft verison of their E bulletin to go this week. Nice to be asked to approve it

They have bit about ET - bit about NCMA campaign and link to petition.

So if your LA is struggling to get their heads round it 0 once Worcestershire bulletin been sent out - I will put on here as an attachment - and maybe you could forward so they can see how a LA has managed to promote it.

No reply from Leics LA which I find really poor. Not even an email to say they can't do anything

it took me a while to get a reply from north yorkshire...my DO was very busy ( and as i couldn't get hold of her, i just kept sending more emails! and then started sending them to everyone i had email addresses for within the county staff ), and it had to wait for a 'big' meeting so it could be discussed, just awaiting agreement from the big boss and then it should be being emailed out to all early years workers in the county!
