but whilst googling absolute EVERYTHING, I came across someone mentioning a SEF form before your pre reg visit. Is this true? or do I do one for my first inspection with kids?

SEF is about reflecting on your practice and you can't do that until you start working! You can say you plan to do a SEF reguarly and think about whether you want to do the online Ofsted one or use a diary/notebook etc... but really not a priority for pre-reg.

Ofsted want to see you ready to start working as a childminder!

They might ask about the SEF - so you say how you intend completing it and using it to reflect on your practice.

There is a pre-reg booklet you should have received - the inspector will ask you questions linked to that.

    Hope it goes well!
