    Default Doing my SEF...

... but feel like I'm walking through treacle with it. I have Sarah's ebook but still struggling. Just not good at putting what I do down on paper. Also not sure I entirely get what they are wanting. Probably doesn't help being full of cold.

Have my inspection in a couple of weeks and thought I'd start with this in my prep.

No replys needed, just needed to "share".

I'm in exactly the same boat. For the first part I feel like I've just put my house on the market lol. Really struggling with the rest!

What I want to know about the SEF is, do we have to delete all that we did before or do we just 'add' to it?

Just add to it and everytime you make an entry add the date. Its a reflection document so if ofsted see you keep going in and adding or changing it gives them lots of info that they need. Such as your focus to look at what you are doing and make imporovements or changes to your systems. Hth

It's all been moved around - and left in a right mess if yours is anything like mine.

I have it on my computer so I've put it in the order I want, done my updates and I will just upload it when I have a spare half hour so I'm not rushing.

It's your opportunity to sell yourself - to say how brilliant you are - to show that what you do makes a difference for the children.

Show off - trumpet blow - and relate it all back to the children

My best tip would be to start. Write anything, even if you think its total twaddle! It's so much easier to edit something than look at a blank page!

So just go for it! You could try to start with "I'm outstanding at ... because..."! or "I ensure that I .... by...."
