    Default Updating SEF

Could somebody please tell me ,I am updating my SEF from old to knew.

One of thecquestions at the beginning asks about the child's likes and interests.
Now when I first wrote my SEF three yrs ago the child in question was 9 months old and didn't talk and kinda liked pepper pig.

She is now 4yrs old very chatty and I know a lot more about her likes and dislikes, so do I delete what I wrote about her when she was 9 months and fill in what she's like now ????

Yes - you need to make sure your SEF is up to date. I have recently updated my SEF and removed anything that is no longer applicable, for example on my last SEF I had put I cared for a child whose home language is not English - he has now left so I have removed that statement.

Yes your SEF needs to reflect your work with the children in your care now. However, it doesn't need to be personalised to the individual child - it can be vaguer than 'child x likes Peppa Pig' and say 'the children enjoy a wide range of resources both inside and in the garden including...'

Things like that - don't forget you are selling your service and the things you have to offer - the SEF is your boasting book

I am just updating my sef now. If we delete bits out and add new bits in to reflect what we are doing now how will the inspector know what we have improved on etc

I make additions rather than changes - date and note of how I have improved
