OFSTED SEF

Hello everyone this is my first post so please go easy on me. I am trying to complete the new OFSTED SEF and I am struggling a bit. I think a lot of the questions aren't really relevant to me as a childminder. Has anyone got a guide for childminders or anything that can explain the questions becuase a lot of them I don't understand.

There are only 3 main questions on the new Ofsted SEF and they are all relevant to your way of working.

There is some info in free downloads at the top of the forum.

If you are a gold member on childcare.co.uk there is an information guide about the SEF in the 'childminder plus section' of the website.

There is also some free information on the UKCMA website.

If there is a specific question you are struggling with I am sure our members will be happy to help you

Hi, I'm pretty new too and I found it daunting at first! If you look though the 'guide to inspection' it gives you ideas of what they are looking for, also like Sarah said the guide on childcare.co.uk is a great help!!

Hi, I used Sarah's ebook for mine, I was inspected recently and my 'comprehensive SEF' was praised in the report, I'm sure it helped me get my 'good' grade . The ebook makes writing the sef easy too, I recommend getting it. xx
