    Hi

I did the SEF a little while ago and as part of my self assessment I gave each of my families a form in which I asked them what they liked about the setting, how they felt about their child's learning and development, how they felt on the communication between them selves and I and whether they felt informed of what was going on in my setting, their views on how I did their childs learning journey book and I left a place where they could say if there was anything that they would like to see happen in my setting. I hope that this helps a little. SEF forms are daunting but do-able.

The other thing you could do is to speak to parents about one of the SAF questions!

Ask them for example what they think about the new menus you have produced or how they rate your arrivals risk assessment and note their comments.

You could develop this for adding children's comments too.

That looks great! It's well laid out and should be easy for parents to complete.

Can I just remind anyone in England who is panicking... it's for Scotland!
