    Default Fees

I had a new baby start today all went well she played quite happily.
When I wrote out the contract I put on to be paid weekly and forgot to put pay day as the Monday
I really want paid at the start of the week (in adv) but don't know if I can just say to parent to pay on the Monday at the start of the minding week.
I pick child up and drop off 4 days a week
Any suggestions on how to approach the situation

Maybe the parent is waiting for you to say when they should pay. Do you give your parents invoices as you could state on there payment day. Glad you had a good day with your new little one.

I do invoices for my parents so I can out the date I want payment on - you could still do an invoice for this week with payment due by Monday 4th nov and then say to parent pls accept my apologies I should have had this bill to you on Friday so it is then clean that usually you want payment on the Monday and then start to give her the bills on the Friday for the Monday payment - more work but least will make it clear to them xx

I don't think you should expect to be paid on her first day, especially if not previously mentioned! Just give her the invoice tomorrow and say, I usually expect payment in advance on the child's first day of the week, but as this is settling week, I am happy to accept at the end of the week, but please be aware it is usually on Monday x

I would probably do this too since you haven't made it clear previously that it was to paid in advance

If you expect to be paid in advance just tell them. Whats the worst that can happen?

This is the kind of thing that will drive you nuts over time so just speak up. Im pretty sure this person isnt a mind reader so why live in hope they will figure it out?
