Mini 30 – Childminders and risky play

It is hard as a childminder to balance the needs of a child getting hurt against the warnings we are receiving that if we do not allow children to engage in risk we are damaging their chances of being able to cope in the outside world.

I have examined the pros and cons of risky play in this mini e-book.

Mini 31 – Den building

I have given lots of hints and tips for how to resource, plan and enjoy den building activities with children, including how to write den building risk assessments.

Mini 32 – Themed planning - planting

I am asked by a lot of childminders how to plan themed activities for the over 3s in their care.
