    Default Better for boys...

I have noticed a lot of focus on 'making it better for boys' and ensuring boys do not 'fall behind' in Ofsted inspections. I have collated the following links to support my own cpd and thought I'd share -

https://www.gov.uk/government/public...iteracy-skills - improve boys literacy skills

    http://www.foundationyears.org.uk/wp...nd-writing.pdf - encourage boys writing

Community Playthings | Making it better for boys - make it better for boys

https://www.islington.gov.uk//~/medi...ingboysleaflet - good practice activity ideas.

Why won't boys engage in the early years ? - Early Years Careers - finding ways to engage boys

I have focused on boys in my e-book 53 'Working with Boys' - Knutsford Childminding | Sarah Neville - Registered Childminder.

    Thanks Sarah

I had a long chat with my inspector about the fact that boys physiologically develop later than girls and genuinely are at different levels than girls until about age 6/7! She said that although that was the case, boys still need to be given opportunities (obviously !) to reach their potential!
