    Hi there

I'm new to all this paper work how often should I update my risk assessments? I have put together a risk assesment for my house, another one for the garden, one for outings (PARKS, WALKS ETC)

    Thank you in advance

I conduct an annual RA of my home environment. The EYFS states that it should be done al least once a year. However, I am always updating RA's! When a new child begins, when something is noted that poses a risk to any of the children or me, when an incident/accident happens, when things change, new places visited, groups of children change, adults or fellow childminders change or their premises ..... the list is endless. I use generic RA's and note in diary anything that needs addressing, changing the generic RA as necessary.
Alot is common sense and the longer you do this job the more critical and observent you become.
