Default Make sure you do an annual risk assessment

I had my inspection a week ago. I had in place daily risk assessment sheet for all the rooms I use. I also had ra for toys, arts and crafts, outings etc. However what I didn't have was an annual ra for each room. I now have an action to complete. I still got am overall good so although didn't affect my grading but it is now in report. I am now going to use south gloss one which I have found on here.

Just thought I would let everyone know to avoid an action.

Having had a look at south gloss. Do you put a date on each risk. For eg would I put say tomorrow's date for each risk in each room that apply to me and put it what I have in place. I guess I would then date if I had new ones when i add them Would I then scribble out date next year to show I have done this annually and update date. I forgot to ask but I assume still have to show I do daily risk assessments too.

South gloss does look good but what else does everyone else do.

I am so annoyed with myself that I have this action and want to get it right.

I have used the South Glos ones as my base.

I have a Form for each Room in my house that is registered. I have signed and dated each page and also have my name and address printed on each page. My assistant has also signed each page.

I have one for my car, one for every outing and one for my garden. These are also signed and dated and have my name and address on each page.

I have one for Internet use.

I do not have a single one for any craft activities or materials.

I started using this format in Aug 2010 when I re did all my RA following the building of a large extension.

As a note of interest. I used to have a laminated Daily RA which I then put on paper to keep. It got so silly that last year I stopped doing it altogether. I have a sheet in my RA folder with a list of all the things I regularly check every day. My Inspector was fine with this.

I was inspected in Sept this year and got Outstanding for all my RAs all areas for keeping children safe and safeguarding with the inspector commenting she had rarely seen such comprehensive RAs
