Default Do you file away or keep????

Iv just been looking through my RA folder and it's huge!! Especially the 6weekly house assessment!! There's 7 sheets and the past 3 years worth!!
Now I'm wondering.... Can I file old paperwork in the loft?? I was thinking of going sept-sept every year?
    Thanks

I do, I do it with my tax stuff, so April to April. I bought some cheap box folders from Asda and pop everything for the year into them and pop into the loft.

I do things April to April too but not sure I would keep RA's for more than a year - I can't see the point or am I missing something?

    Default Oooh great!!!

I just thought ofsted may want to see the last 3 years of paperwork! I'll do sept until sept for now as I'm due ofsted around July and wouldn't want to only have 2 months worth of paperwork.
What about R/A for outings, I just sign to say its been reviewed every year and if any changes occur? Is that ok?

I would keep RAs for parks and other local trips out instead of filing them, chances of the parks changing aren't that likely so I would only re-write if there were new equipment etc.

Thats exactly what I was thinking! I know the places I visit inside out and if for any reason there was a risk on the day I went I would use my common sense and change the plans and head off somewhere else!

You can bin all the weekly RAs. I have never done them in writing anyway, I have a list of what I check visually every day and Ofsted were fine with that last year. I wouldn't keep more than the past and current month if I did do them. Ofsted certainly isn't going to go through 3 years worth!

Remember they do not expect to see written RAs anymore anyway.

My understanding is that a risk assessment should be a working document to be updated regularly so you should only really have one set at any one time.
I'm not paranoid - the world IS out to get me!
