    Default Risk Assessment Policy

I am going through the revised EYFS. Do we need a written Risk Assessment policy and procedure (well I know if doesn't have to be written but I am keeping all my policies and procedures as written).

I obviously risk assess, so I have a procedure in my head of how I do this, but do I need to write in down?

Also, do risk assessments and policies have to be updated yearly - I can't remember if I read that or made it up!!

    Thanks,
    Linda.

Put in your Health and Safety or Safeguarding Policy a small sentence stating that you will review your RA's each year and change them as needed in between times

I cannot see a need for an additional policy

The revised EYFS does ask for one... I've written an overview of how I set out RAs, what areas are included in my RAs, how I continually RA etc.

    It easily filled a page

Thanks, I've just typed one up. Only half a page worth, but at least I have one and my risk assessment are quite in depth, so hopefully they speak from themselves.
