    I never have graded mine.

Ask yourself will grading them keep the children safe (or safer) - only you can answer this - if the answer is no - then don't grade them

A risk is a risk. If it's graded as a high risk then surely you've done something to lower that risk? In which case it'll have a different grade?

I have never graded mine either. Ofsted have seen them twice and not said anything. I have for each room, each park, activities at the table, activities in the playroom and anywhere I go. They are pretty detailed...lots to read through.
Unfortunalely there are no blank uniform forms that everyone can use, so everyone does it slightly differently...but if you've identified the risks and shown what's in place to minimise them then you're done.
Just make sure you sign each copy and put a review date on them.

I have 3 boxes on mine - l/m/h and I tick which one is relevant and if any are m or h I show what I am going to do to make it low and if I cannot why not

I grade the risks on mine then write what methods i have in place to reduce the risk and then re-grade, mainly because it was issued to me by my network co-ordinator who says we 'should' use the network ones.

Some of mine are graded ... some aren't.

I don't find it particularly useful to be honest and Mrs O wasn't interested

    Hi thanks for replies,
yes I kind of think that yes have looked at the risk and then actioned things to make things safer for the children, by grading them will make no difference but it's what my net work has said Ofsted wants us to do so it's do I or don't I? I can spend my time on far more important things which would be of benefit.
