Default Advice re: a voluntary assistant...

I have a registered childminder friend who only has after school, she is going to help me out 1 day every 3weeks for 3hours to cover a shift working family of siblings (not new business to me)..do i need to register her as an assistant or can she be with me in her own right as a registered CM. Also do i need to keep an attendance register for her? Parental consent will be in place.

You need to register her at your premises - it used to be a simple EY2 form but I don't think you can do EY2 without a new DBS ...

So I suggest you give Ofsted a ring and clarify it with them
