    Default Help with EY2 form

Hi there. Really struggling to sort out EY2 form for new lodger in our house. She is not going to be working with us, just living in the house. I have logged onto my government gateway and can't see you to send her a link to fill in an EY2 form. Could someone explain it for me in words of one syllable?! Ofsted's new system is driving me crazy!!!!

Does she have her own government gateway account? When I did my son's EY2 when he turned 16 he had to set up a gateway account first and do everything through that.

This was back in July, so I don't know if things have changed since then. If not, I would say your lodger would have to do the same - set up her own gateways account and access the EY2 through that.

Aha! Perhaps that's what I'm doing wrong. So I send her the link to get her own government gateway and then she applies through that. I wish it was a bit clearer - we have been having so much trouble sorting out my husbands childminder registration, and now have delayed it even more with lodger!

    Thanks!

It really isn't very clear, is it?

We had to do the EY2 when my son turned 16 and it said in the letter that he had to set up his own gateway account. I don't think I'd have figured it out otherwise!

Ok - I have another question! We have now done Ey2 form and are applying for DBS. My lodger is a student and all her identity documents are her home address. Can she apply for DBS using her home address? She will struggle with getting our childminding address onto bills as she doesn't really have any!
