Default How much do you pay a self-employed assistant?

    Hi

I have a friend who is in the process of registering to become my assistant but I am not sure how much to pay her.

Those of you with assistants who are self-employed how much do you pay them please?

The hours I need her will vary each week ranging from possibly none to possibly 3 half days or more. She will also be bringing her own 1 year old. She is fine with the varied hours as she is a stay-at-home mum/self-employed cleaner so is flexible & the money she earns from working with me will just be a bonus to her.

Also if a fellow childminder was to help me out on an ad hoc basis would you pay the same as my friend or more because they are a fully fledged childminder?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
