    Default ad hoc assistant

I am going to be busy over the summer and want to spend some time with my kids.

can I have an ad hoc assistant who could invoice me just for the hours I need?

obviously I will be there too with all the activities etc, but just wanted an extra pair of hands to be able to pay more attention to my two kids over the summer?

any ideas if this is possible and where would I find someone to do this??

I think it would be possible. You would need to have employees insurance, and you would have to supervise the assistant at all times.

There might be a teaching assistant, or a childcare student that would be want to work through the summer to earn some extra money. Maybe you could ask local primary schools to put a notice up in their staff room. I think you would have to pay them a minimum number of hours each week as not many people would want to be available all summer with out a guarantee of how much they might earn.

I think it is a lovely way to spend more time with your children while still being able to work.
