How do I go about registering an assistant please?

Up until this morning it is not something I have considered before, but want the possibility of being able to leave my mum with mindees if need be. So will only be for odd occasions not a regular thing. Please can someone explain what I need to do please.

If you are wanting to leave the children alone with her she will need her first aid.

Other than that its the EY2 form from ofsted (I think apologies if Im wrong)

I'm about to register an assistant, so thanks for the info on how to do this. Also, can they work as a volunteer? Ie unpaid. And can they start before the form is submitted?
