I didn't receive one negative comment about the logo until this thread.

Everyone is allowed their subjective opinion on things but when we took over what I said was things wouldn't really change much.

I took that to mean that I would be allowed to make some minor cosmetic changes to the look and feel of the website and forum to improve it.

Many people had said the forum was looking a little dated and when I ran the competition to ask what you all liked best about the forum, not one of you said that you really liked the forum logo.

I feel like I have said it a thousand times but there are no plans to charge for the forum and I give you my personal guarantees that the forum will always be free.

Feel free to print out this post and keep it.

Some people are convinced we are going to charge for the forum when we are not. That is why I said feel free to print out my personal guarantee!

I must admit, I do prefer the smiley face... the other one kind of reminded me of a bear with big ears

    But it is good too.

I am up for getting a car sticker too

I like the new logo and the smiley face agggh!! well there is only one way to sort this out FIGHT!!

I appreciate that it is YOUR forum Richard, but I suppose some of the older/established members who have helped this forum get to where it is feel they own a piece of it (if only in sweat and tears).

My point here, is try being be a little bit more sympathetic, and possibly a vote/poll on the logo, yes it need changes but here are your options, would be more conducive to a better relationship x

It's like buying a house in a way, cosmetically. It's nice to add your own touches. DH and I own a forum, quite a busy one and have noticed very quickly that people don't 'do' change. Have had complaints about everything from the changing of the background colour (as it goes that was accidental but of course couldn't get it back!) to the festive Christmas snow - people didn't like the snow, was distracting.
The smiley faced logo forum was Pauline's. The new logo is Richards. It makes no difference to my enjoyment from or use of the forum itself. I'm just grateful it exists, especially with so many changes coming in with EYFS

I will get some car stickers produced for you all and perhaps some nice pens too. They will both be free for you all

If you want any other forum merchandise then I am happy to look into it.

What type of merchandise was it? I guess it will be more valuable with the old logo!

I have had some requests to produce some new car stickers which I would be happy to do. What other kind of merchandise would you like too?

Thanks Richard I collect pin badges - (the ones that you stab through your clothes!) one of those would be nice. I like the smiley but will have to go with the changes I guess

Maybe my old logo bag will become a collectors item!?
