Default Does ELC apply discount for Childminders

    Hi,

I am sure I seen in ELC catalogue that c/m's got a discount if they showed they were registered.

Anyone know if this is correct and if so, whats the discount?

    Cheers

    Dana

Yes, you get 10% off. You need to take your reg certificate with you to your nearest branch of ELC where they will give you a card. Its is renewable yearly. x

    Hi

You get a 10% discount, you just need 2 take ur ofsted certificate 2 show them + theyl give you a discount card.
You can register online 2,theres link at the bottom of their homepage,it says nurseries in purple writing, if you click on that + fill details in.

    Hope this helps

I have a discount card, and they accepted my NCMA membership card as proof.

    Thumbs up

Thanks all, I am in Scotland so its SCSWIS here rather than OFSTED but hope that does not matter.

    Will try the website first.

    Yee-ha, love discounts

You just can't get discount on any of their offers, it only applies to full price goods.

The card expires yearly, you just take your certificate back in to renew it. At Christmas last year they gave 20% off for quite a few weeks.

When i looked the other day you couldn't register online as a CM. You have to go to local branch.

I asked at the local ELC yesterday about it and they said that the discount is now 20%. Forgot to ask whether it applied only to full price -I was buying up half the shop in the sale yesterday so was a bit pre occupied!

I registered online as I do most of my shopping online but if I have been going instore I have had to print out a voucher before going, they have never sent a card.

(Just had a quick look online looks like you can't get vouchers now to use instore)

    Default Discounts

As others have said, take your Ofsted certificate in and you will get a 10% discount card. However many of the offers in store are often as good, if not better than this.

I don't think you can do it online anymore. they used to have an ELC for nurseries online page but that doesn't exist anymore which is a shame as my nearest shop is over 25 miles away so not somewhere I go regularly.
