I am the exact same and have been looking at pc world online - they have a toshiba one for £499 (says should be £899) and was a withering between that and the Sony touch screen which is around the same price plus if you buy one for £499 you get £100 cash back after a few weeks - my prob is have no penny's to but it for at least 3/4 weeks! Hope they still have them! Xx

i got a Asus notebook in June and it is fab. i even got it with touch screen for £400

    Buy Asus S200 Vivobook, Intel Core i3, 1.4GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB, 11.6

It is not too heavy and at first i was not sure about if i would like the 11" screen as thought i might of needed bigger, but i am surprised how much i love the compactness of this one.

I am very happy with my Lenovo G580. Has a huge memory 6GB RAM and 1 TB hard drive. Got it at easter and love it. DS tried to steal it to take back to uni and was going to leave me his old one but he was told where to go (politely of course)

I got it from Very catalogue £299 with a year interest free to pay for it. Lenovo G580 Intel® Celeron® Processor 6Gb 1Tb 15.6 inch Laptop - Blue | very.co.uk

I have a blue they also do a red one

I have always had HP laptops. But I have now got an Acer, which has been great.
