I think I'm the only person in the world who's not keen on this book!
I don't like the style of the pictures, I think they're messy and unclear! Ha ha!
I do have a copy though!

I don't have this book and I should get it as I always have to borrow it from the library. I love doing the butterflies and caterpillars theme with the children there is so many things you can do and the kids love it.

Didn't think this would be your kind of book, especially the last page:laughing:
I have a hard back version with holes through what he eats!
We have done our own pictures for it though, the favourite being the ice cream cone!

It's a bag... or a box... filled as Cheryl suggests above... I have all sorts of props for the story including pictures of the food items, a finger puppet caterpillar, a butterfly, a hole punch and paper... and of course the book!
They are good for children to use independently and some of my story sacks have gone home for weekends before now as they are great for parents to use with the children - just expect the odd bit to get lost then you're not disappointed :D
Re: The very hungry caterpillar

Re: The very hungry caterpillar
Our local library lets you borrow story sacks so it's worth asking in your local library if they have any, or which library in your area does them. :)
