Joy oh joy!
I read it, but nothing in particular jumped out at me as a childminder!
I'm just trying to get any sort of answer from school about pick ups in September... they've said yes to pick ups. ... but are now talking about staggering drop off and pick ups ... no idea how that will work for families with 2 children or more, let alone myself or afterschool club!
Staggered times is what our school has now. It spans half an hour. So yr6 start at 8.40, yr1 at 9.00 n reception 9.10. End of day is reception 2.50, yr1 3.00 and yr6 3.20. I take and pick up reception but the yr6 I usual bring home isn’t coming because I don’t want to wait half and hour and the school don’t want us hanging around either.
Loocyloo our school also has staggered drop off/pick up. In the letter explaining it, parents were asked to go and find a spot in the playground and wait for their next time slot. They literally have to just stand around for up to half an hour.
Whole year bubbles its laughable.
My ds and dd will be in separate bubbles of 270 people so 540 between them.
Thats not a bubble I don't see how staggered drop offs dinner and break times work in busy high schools nevermind primary schools. Dinner times would have to start at 1130 and finish at 2
