I think today’s the day the schools would have broken up for Easter, isn’t it? I realised when I turned the calendar to April that I had next week booked off as holiday. Luckily we hadn’t booked to go away anywhere!
We normally have a big family Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday, but obviously that won’t be happening this year. I may try to get Easter eggs for everyone and deliver the ones I can drop off on my daily walk. They’re hardly a necessity but it is nice to try to keep some sense of normality.
Following on from my post yesterday about an increase in traffic, I did notice the road was completely quiet at 4.30 this morning! We live near a main road where there is always traffic, day and night, so it was strange lying in bed and hearing nothing. The saddest sight though was a short while ago when I heard a horse drawn hearse going by. They’re normally followed by several funeral cars, but when I looked, this one had no cars following. It must be very hard for families at the moment when they can’t have the funeral they may have wanted.
