Hi,
Several weeks ago I helpfully deleted all my emails so don't have payment receipts for my first aid course, HBCA training course. Can I show these on my bank statement rather than having the receipt? Obviously it's a significant chunk of money to not be able to claim!

Bank statements only show the money going out, not necessarily what it was for, so if you were to get investigated, the statement on it's own wouldn't really be enough. Personally I'd contact everyone for a copy which should be easy enough, or check your downloads folder as I often find stuff I've opened from an email in there
The other thing to think about is that you will only need the receipts if HMRC decide to investigate you - so as long as you do your best to get them and keep your books correctly from now onwards, downloading or printing receipts as they come in, fingers crossed you should be ok! :D
