Dissertation Contribution for Early years in Childcare Degree
Hello Members,
I am new here, over the past months I have found the information and wealth of experience form the members useful.
I am currently completing my university degree in Early Years in Childcare and as part of my Dissertation I I have been asked to post the questions below in a forum I belong to for contribution by members.
Please help by giving a little of your time answers to the below questions or contribution as you deem fit.
QUOTE:"Risky play is a natural part of children’s play, and children often seek out opportunities for engaging in challenging and so called risky play. Risky play can be defined as a thrilling and exciting activity that involves a risk of physical injury, and play that provides opportunities for challenge, testing limits, exploring boundaries and learning about injury risk (Sandseter (2007; Little & Wyver, 2008)."
Questionnaire about risky play:
- What do you understand by the term risky play?
- How important do you think risky play is?
- Do you think risky play provides children with learning opportunities?
- How do you think children learn best?
- What type of play does your child like best?
- Does your setting promote risky play?
Much appreciated for your contribution
Best Regards,
Temi
