british values?PREVENT

Hello,

British values questions again.
Is PREVENT part of British values?
How do you show Ofsted about them? do we need a policy explaining what we do ( share, take turn, care , respect..)?
Does PREVENT get covered in BV?

I was thinking about writing something in my portfolio about BV ;
# explaining what it is( democracy , rule of law, individual liberty, respect and tolerance)
# and give a few example about what we do to cover that ( learning about British nature and the world, being kind and helpful, celebrate festivals..)

Is that what we meant to do?
do you link your observation with BV as we do with PD,PSED..?
I know there are quite a few posts already about it but it is still not clear for me.

Is PREVENT part of British values? - no it's the other way round. The Prevent duty is the biggie and British values are part of the whole picture.

How do you show Ofsted about them? - you use British values in everyday life - they are linked to PSED and understanding the world. More information here - Fundamental British Values in the Early Years | From pregnancy to children aged 5.

do we need a policy explaining what we do ( share, take turn, care , respect..)? - no you don't need a specific policy - I have given the wording I am going to use in my thread ^^
