RECENT UPDATES independent childminders need to be aware of –

- There will be a new Common Inspection Framework from Sept 2015 – information is FREE from Childcare.co.uk here - https://www.childcare.co.uk/informat...tion-framework

- The SEND Code of Practice is being revised from 1st April – make sure you have a copy in your computer files - https://www.gov.uk/government/public...actice-0-to-25.

- The PREVENT strategy has been put in place to protect vulnerable children from radicalisation. You need an awareness of it and should discuss it with parents. I have blogged about it here - https://knutsfordchildminding.wordpr...vent-strategy/.

- As part of the PREVENT strategy (and it will be an inspection outcome from Sept) there is a new requirement to teach children British values – information is FREE from Childcare.co.uk here - https://www.childcare.co.uk/informat...british-values.
