We have had "pass the jam jim" from Library but not heard of the other one - thank you for sharing - one of our favourite Library books recently was Dodo Doodoo by Kaye Umansky - a great book for 4+ year olds.
My dd doesnt seem to enjoy chapter books yet. We read them for ds but she tends to switch off for this part of our bedtime story routine. So her favourites are all your usual picture books. Winnie the witch is pretty popular and Ladybird fairy tales went down well today.
