If you do a search on the web for Safeguarding policy for childminder, Pacey have an example you could look at.

In Cheshire east our Local Authority model procedures have to be adopted alongside our own procedures.
The LA one is about 6 pages - plus appendices. Mine is about 4 pages. You can't mess about with safeguarding it's really important that you cover everything you can think of - to protect you, the children, the families, visitors etc etc.
