Consultation about after school care - last few weeks!

This consultation affects us all because they are trying to make it easier for providers to set up and offer after school care!

I don't know about you but this is my bit of extra work - and I wouldn't be happy to lose it to cheaper clubs when I know how hard I work to do a good job with them, entertain them, help them with homework, feed them etc...

Childcare regulation

Department for Education consultation on the regulation of childcare to look at removing
burdens and simplifying processes along with making it easier for schools to offer out-ofhours care and accept younger children; introduce greater flexibility for providers operating
in multiple premises; maintain and strengthen the safeguarding and welfare requirements
and replace the General Childcare Register with a Child Safety Register, working together
with the Early Years Register to offer greater flexibility and clarity.
