I absolutely love this programme, think the whole show is fab from actors to costumes. I do tend to shed a tear at every episode though!
Series 2 starts on Sunday. Anyone else going to be watching it? xx

I will definately be watching on iplayer on Monday - love it! :clapping:
I absolutly love this programme:thumbsup: especially as the people and stories are real, don't know why i missed the books !
I was born in 1951, so when i see the children i can imagine that was how i was dressed, and the clothes my mum wore.
Thanks for the reminder, I didn't realise there was a new series - have only just watched the Xmas one, missed it Xmas day luckily it was repeated so managed to record it.
Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I love it
I think it is a fantastic peice of drama... I have the book ( which the mil has passed over) and she has told me some snipets that sound compeling viewing if those parts are to be televised!! I will get round to reading the book one day =-O
miranda hart was being interviewed (by graham norton i think) and she said that the lady that wrote the books, rang her and asked her if they ever made a series/film whatever of the books, would she please play Chummy. :D miranda said she then had to go out and get the book and read it! she also said that the lady that wrote the books, knew they were being made into tv ( and that miranda was in it ) but never saw any of it as she sadly died just before they started filming.
i love it too :D
Found the books. Will try to do a link.
It didnt work but they have the set of books on amazon for about £20
I love it, read the book before seeing the first series and they have got it just true to my imagination and the text. Miranda is perfect for the role and plays Chummy so well
Will be recorded just in case I don't get peace and quiet to watch it when it is on :)
