    Default wands

My mindee and ds (both2) have a part of the day where we sit and read 15minutes or so. I read a couple of books chosen by them then they each choose a book and then we sit and look and talk about the books we have read etc. The other day we read 'Meg and Mog' and 'Room on a Broom' the children loved these and started jumping around pretending to cast spells. In the end we decided to make our own wands (with a little help by me) the chidlren decorated the sticks with lots of glitter (not sure if its very clear in pic) I did the star and stuck it all together and the children stuck the tassles again with a little help. We had great fun casting spells on each other turning us into frogs and chickens etc

They are lovely. I have a few children who are obsessed with harry potter so they could be adapted for the older ones if you don't mind me pinching your idea.

Please feel free to make them thats why I shared on here. I usually would have just done a flat wand but ds has a fab wizard book showing how to make them '3d' loads more ideas and a little theatre and puppets etc. Feel a theme coming on Maybe make a potion with lots of fruits in the form of a fruit cocktail drink or smoothie
